Privacy & contact

Vibekollen is run by two people who want to highlight Swedish vibe coding projects. We store as little as possible — this is all of it, in plain language.

What we store

  • Vibe coder accounts: names, email addresses and passwords. Passwords are stored as hashes, never in plain text. You can delete the account yourself under Account — your claims and votes disappear with it.
  • Votes in Vibe of the Month: which project your account voted for and when. The site only shows numbers; the link between account and vote is visible only to the site's administrators to prevent vote fraud. Votes are kept for now as an audit trail and are deleted with the account.
  • Submitted projects: the details you provide — project link, description, name or alias and an optional email address used only if we need to follow up.
  • Newsletter: your email address. Every mailing has an unsubscribe link.
  • Comments: the name and text you write. They are public.
  • Likes, saves and follows: tied to a random, anonymous ID in your browser — no account needed and nothing linked to you as a person. Saved projects and vibe coders you follow stay in your browser. (Voting in Vibe of the Month does require an account — see above.)

What we don't do

  • No third-party analytics, ad tracking or pixels.
  • We never sell or share your data with anyone.
  • No cookies beyond those needed for sign-in and theme.

News, AI and sources

Vibekollen Nytt has its own page on how we handle sources, where AI is allowed to contribute and how corrections work: How we work with AI and sources.
